You may think a black animal is better suited to using greyscale (graphite) to create your portrait, but you would be surprised how much colour goes into creating a portrait of a black pet! Depending on the lighting and undertones of the fur, blues, purples, reds, browns or even pinks may be required! If you prefer the greyscale look, then graphite is for you! But if you'd like to capture the colour of your pets eyes, collar, nose and undertones, then you should be thinking about commissioning a colour portrait.

I include the option of a soft, blended background (as above) in your choice of colour(s) in the price, or you are able to have a plain background if you would prefer.

Prices below are quoted in AUD and are based on paper size. The drawing will be a good size within the paper area. For other currencies, I have attached a currency converter below.

Please note, the more detailed and higher quality photo provided, the more detailed I can make your portrait. I do accept commissions from older or more blurred photos, but they may have a more painterly look and not be my most detailed of pieces. I will use my knowledge of animal anatomy and experience to create the best piece that I can for you.
